And its still coming....
:-)
So you better believe ive got my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for that elusive, enticing, enigamatic (and you know we all love it cos it means staying in bed even tho its a weekday) Ohhyes. im talking....
a SNOWDAAAAAAAY!!
but shhh! thats all ill say on the matter - i dont wanna jinx it :p
At the moment, id say its 50-50... the snow isnt THAT thick yet and the roads are still clear, cos it hasnt had a chance to settle... But, if it continues overnight and then freezes when it gets colder.... who knows?!?! HA! either way, i dont reckon it'll be a 'normal' monday in terms of lessons anyways. Theres gonna be loads of kids who cant get in - even if i can!
In other news, im exhausted today! Theres just something about snow that makes me sleepy :p So i slept till 10ish - got up and had a nice warm bowl of porridge... something i love but just havent had much this winter, i dont have alot of time on workdays and i love my other breakkie so much! But since the mumatron is away and im low on supplies, my stash of ready-to-make porridge sachets came out to play! yummms. After that, i met up with my friend A and her puppy for a walk in the snow. Shes only 3months old and she was LOVING the snow.... bless her! It was sweet, but it made me miss my bubbins even more :( its still a good week till her and the mothership come home. waaaah!
puggies love snow. fact.
Have any of you had a snowday yet???
Sadly our school REALLY doesnt dish them out lightly, we have to be properly snowed out of the building to get a proper day off. Even if its too dangerous to move around the school for normal lessons, the kids that can come in, do... then we just have to supervise them (hello dvd day!) which im SURE they could do at home! but it means the parents can still go to work... So, its not so bad. Anyways, everyones is high spirits... Well, just as long as one of us teachers doesnt accidentally get a snowball to the face :p
fingers (and toes) crossed people!!

We never ever get a snow day (even if it is too dangerous to come in and all roads closed) we get the option to walk or make up the 8 hours during the days when we come back in. I choose to walk as it is only 2 miles each way :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the pug, sooo cute. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you for a snow day. I wish it would get so deep that I can't get out of my door and then I would be allowed a snow day, so wish for that for me too please? lol.
