TYPICAL!

Evening folks. Gotta say, Im surprisingly chipper considering todays "events".....

Tuesdays are typically my BAD days. Mainly cos i have the evil year 9 class first thing in the morning, which certainly takes some mental strength... (altho, they were better today - i gave them a few stern words about what i expected from them this term.... Haha! Still, i guess we'll have to wait and see how long that lasts!!!) but then aswell as that and all my other usual lessons, i have to do a break-time playground duty outside in the cold too and that means i have a late lunch (altho thats not sooo bad: at least im not rushed like i am on a weds/thurs lunchtime)

So yeah, thats my usual bummer tuesday. But to add onto that weekly joy, today my moped decided to pack up and die on me :-(

HMMMMFPH. Weirdly enough tho, i had actually texted my friendly moped guy yesterday to ask him about fixing up my wonky wing-mirror and so was gonna pop over there after work anyways! buuuut as i got to the car-park and tried to start up my bike.... 

CHUgggAHchUUgAAAH CHHUggggaAH. "blip" 

yup, you guessed it... NADA

no motor. no drive. no way.

Im sure you can imagine my face at this time... 

i was not very happy

Anyways, i texted the guy and sweet talked him into coming to pick me up in his van. YESSSS!!! luckily he was free, otherwise i couldve been stuck there for aaaages. It pays to sweet talk, thats for damn sure!!! (cos ironically, he has had dealings with my sister in the past.... and she *surprise surprise* was rude and ungrateful to him so he now refuses to do her any favours regarding her moped. HAHAHAHA, suckaaah!!!!)

Yeah, so he hooked me up with a new starter plug thingy (i think. GOD knows im clueless about bike parts!) and we had a nice banter, talked about xmas and the holidays and all that. theyre nice guys there... sure they work in a garage and are covered in motor oil and dirt.... but that doesnt stop them being good people!!! AND i got the chance to photograph the insides of some bike motors, which im gonna use for a project im doing with my year 9's about technology/transport etc... So i got my bike fixed, got that new wingmirror too AND i got some work done!!! a win-win misdemeanour if you ask me :-)

Now im home and about to get my work head on to sort some plans for tomo... Im starting new projects with most of my groups, which means alot of starter-prep. its fun tho! i like being back in a routine and being busy.... its when i feel happiest (just so long as im doing it for enjoyment and not pushing myself too hard) Cos I find that i often tread a fine line between doing enough to keep me happy and busy... and then tipping over into doing too much and feeling weak/stressed and struggling (but still thinking i have to do more...) at the moment. im good :-) Sooo, as long as im aware of this feeling and i dont stress myself out trying to do more or get involved doing too much and obvs it goes without saying, DEFINITELY not introducing more exercise or unnecessary activity (which is usually the first thing i feel tempted to do when i feel all productive and energised) If i can keep all that stable.... then i might just be ok!!!

And that people, was my day! i cant believe ive only been back at work for two days and already im buzzing about like a bee on crack! Its weird tho.... it doesnt really feel like i ever left :p
