Ahh today was PERFECT sports day weather :-)
Even tho i didnt get to go upto the field and watch, i still had a lovely day in the sun.... and no lessons either. winner!!!
This morning when i walked into work, i felt a sense of peacefulness. It was so nice outside, warm but still with that crisp early morning vibe. Its funny cos i love walking to work during the summer, whereas in the winter it becomes a thing of dread! I am also finding it alot more enjoyable now that im not forcing myself to walk. Its not like im battling through galeforce winds and pouring rain like i do in the winter, just cos my ED says i have to walk.... i do get pleasure from walking when its nice and in the summer, i can do that without feeling guilty.
Altho i do tend to power it abit more in the mornings, which probs isnt too good. But im always aware that i dont want to arrive at school late, so i rush more. In the afternoons i try to stroll at a more leisurely pace... its still hard tho. My ED wants me to powerwalk, it makes me think that strolling is for wimps! that unless im out of breath, then im not doing anything worthwhile :-(
The kids were all raring to go by 9am (where do they get the energy?!) but we had to pile them into the buses to take them up to the field... once that was done, an eerie silence fell upon the school! its so quiet without any kids..! Well, saying that the juniors were still about, but they're so little they hardly count as proper people! :-p
Speaking of the little'uns, as it happened my junior Art classes were actually cancelled anyways, so there was me thinking i would have to teach all morning, it was not to be! Whoopeeeeee, free time! so instead of using the time productively... i went into town and enjoyed myself looking around the shops in the sunshine. HAHA! I like going into town during the day mid-week, cos its sooo much quieter and you can actually look in the shops... not like weekends, when the place is swarming with teenagers sturutting about. i have to hide my face from all the pupils popping out of nowhere to say "hello". Its sweet and all, but seriously... you'd think they would have had enough of teachers during the week!!!
Anyways, i headed back for lunch and then got my work head on. finished up all my report corrections and wrote up most of my tutor-statements for my form. Job well done!!! *pats self on back* Now i can rest easy about being back at the unit tomo, knowing im prepared for the reports 'read and write-up' session on friday morning.
Ok, so i can imagine that this is REALLY interesting stuff for you guys to read... haha. But since i dont really have a whole lot else to say! Im gonna bail out and say "adios biaatches...." :-)
I have another date with the cooked pudding tomo at the unit. Urhhhh, remind me why i signed myself up for this??! cooked desserts in hot weather. GAAH! saying that the forecast is for rain, so maybe ill be grateful for something cosy in ma belly :-p OH OH OH i forgot to mention... tomo my lunch menu has been tweaked so im having the sweet and sour chicken and rice! Now you may be like "whys that such a biggie" but im SUPER excited about this one (never would i have thought id say that about a chinese takeaway ready meal!) But the others have had it a few times and said it was really nice, annoyingly its always on the menu on the days when im not in... So this week, when it came up on weds and i was like "what? not AGAIN!" they said they'd save me one for thurs. YIPEE!!! i used to love sweet and sour chicken before i got ill, so im excited to try it again :-)
sweet n sourrrrrr yo.
Yup, im trying new things... getting excited about food... this has gotta mean something, right?! well, correctamundo. cos it meanssssss
RECOVERY is still ON!!!!
