I just dont get it...!
Ive never been much of a "hot drinks" fan, much to the disappointment of various people....
- my amurrcan friends: "wait, you're british and you DONT drink tea?!?!"
- my mum: "why dont you ever sit and have a nice cup of tea with me?"
- my friend J, who is a mahoooosive tea drinker: "clem, come over for tea... or in your case a drink that resembles tea but isnt...!"
Those are just to name a few :p But its true.. i WISH i was a member of the hot-drinks-loving clan, but it just aint happening. Something doesnt feel right to me about drinking something HOT, its not refreshing and it nearly ALWAYS burns my tongue...! So sadly folks, me and hot beverages are just not meant to be :p
But that wont stop me talking about them tho!

Initially, when i checked out todays "Christmas Challenge" i thought, Uh-Ohhh... here comes another Qn that i cant really answer!! (im starting to think that despite my love of Xmas, i might be secretly related to the Grinch or something :-s)
yup, the resemblance is there...
But as for choosing EGGNOG vs HOT CHOC....?!
Well, if it came to personal choice... NEITHER! Buuuut if i had to have one, it'd be the hot choc. I did used to have hot chocolate occasionally as a child, but even then i would just eat the marshmallows and slurp up the whipped cream and then leave most of the drink! haha. I was fussy even then :p
Ive actually never tried eggnog, but theres something about it that freaks me out...! i dunno if its the name (NOG doesnt really sound appealing whether its egg or not! even CHOCNOGG sounds dodge) but then putting EGG as a precursor for something thats supposed to be drunk, well thats just plain weird. Its a bit like mince pies, for ages i wouldnt go near one because i thought they actually had minced meat in them. I was like....
"Urghhhh!! what are you crazies doing eating MEAT in a sugary pastry?!"
what?! its a misleading name!!
Yeah, i figured it out eventually, but im still not convinced! In fact, as far as Christmassy foods/drinks go ill admit, im not a massive fan. I do like a turkey and cranberry (thank GOD) but mince pies, mulled wine, eggnog etc.... its a no ta! I think ill stick to my gingerbread biccies thankyou very much :-)
What do you think? Shud i give the hot drinks another go....?! Hmm, i wonder if starbucks do a dairy free soy hot choc with whipped cream... Wait, can you even get dairy free whipped cream?! Cos without the frothy creamy top, frankly...
whats the point!?!
:-p
Anyways, im off to pack my bags now...
Ill be heading upto London properly tomo for the start of this years

Eggnog holds no appeal to me either, eggs should not be in drinks, for sure. x
