this rain is a pain

Like seriously....  a proper pain.

I need to go into town to get supplies for this dinner im making tonight, but it is LITERALLY pouring down outside! Waah! I think im gonna have to wait for a brief dry moment (its clearly gonna be on and off all day...) and then just make a dash for it, trusty umbrella in hand :-p

Why does it have to rain so bloody much here?!?!

At least its warmer today... Cos yesterday it was full-on icedchilledballs. Not that this was too much of a prob, cos i was indoors all day. hahaha! We ended up leaving for our westfield adventure quite late yesterday cos my friend had to wait for her car to get fixed etc... So after a quick lunch i nipped down to hers (she lives two roads down from me) and we piled in the car and headed to Stratford! After a girly roadtrip, with much music, gossip, satnav blunders and a only few "PEE BREAK!" pitstops, we made it!

We hit up most of the shops, but it was more of a "get inspiration for presents" trip, rather than a "OOH look at all the pretty things i want to try on" one... So we had to focus! (altho i didnt really find anything... i tend to do my xmas shopping last minute - when i have a list ready and i know exactly what i need to get!) But it was still fun. We didnt end up leaving till 7:30pm, so we grabbed dinner there and by the time we got home we were pooped! I hit the sack as soon as i got in (well, after scoffing 3 little bedtime muffin snackeroos :p) And woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to face the holidays HEAD ON!

Today i dont have too much to do till later... altho i DO have to go into town at some point and brave the rain. I need to post a parcel at the post office and then pick up some more parking permits for the mumster... then i need to nip to sainsburys and get a few bits for this dinner. Im doing a tapas type thing, so i need to get some prawns (oh wait... can preggos eat prawns??) Then im gonna do a big roasted veggie tray and ive got a load of couscous and these feta and olive thingys and two BIG bags of tortilla chips and dips... Thats enough right?! Meh - im sure it'll be fiiiiine!!!

somehow i doubt mine will look as professional as this!

But until the rain clears, im gonna stay here and sit on my tush in the warm. My friend lent me some sparkly OPI nail polish, so im gonna glam up my nails :-) Its my plan to paint my nails LOADS of different colours this holiday... i never do it during term-time and i love to make my nails look all pretty, espesh since they usually look such a mess! Its nice to have them jazzed up over Xmas - believe me, im gonna be all about the festive glitter!!!

As for todays Christmas Challenge.... its kindof a washout! The Question is "Real or Artificial Tree".... but we all know, im a big christmas failure cos i havent GOT a tree - So im gonna throw an extra option into that list...

I hereby give you the NEW revised Qn:
"Christmas Tree: Real, Artificial or.... IMAGINARY"!!

Hahahaha! I do think its nice to have a real tree... but they make such a mess and then they die and you have to take them somewhere to get recycled - yada yada yada. In realitt, its a hell of alot easier to just get a really decent artificial one and keep it in the attic ready to bring out next year! :-)

What tree do you have? real, artificial or IMAGINARY?!
Are you a fan of christmas glitter?!

If all else fails....
:p

  1. I don't have a tree either. I live in a shared house and we are all going elsewhere for Christmas, so I guess there is no point really!
