my arm = a pincushion... again. Oh but this time it was punctured by a fancy pantsy haemotologist!!!!
yup, i finally got sent to the big 'specialist' doc, it seems that since they couldnt figure out what is wrong with my blood levels and they are still getting worse, it was time to ship me off to the men in white coats (hahaha) who hide out in a TINY little section of the hospital (right next to the chapel of rest in fact..... nice)
These doctors rarely see actual people, just their blood... of which there was ALOT, all in those little vials... trays and trays of them. i almost expected to see r.pattz lurking about nearby trying to snatch a quick sip :-p (yeah, i wish)
So another round of poking and prodding and questions about health etc, nothing spectacularly unusual there. but luckily they think its NOT leukemia (well gee thanks, did they think it WAS before?!?!?!?!) eeeeeeeeeeek!
But in actual fact, its most likely due to some gastro-intenstinal cell disordery type thing thats causing me to be unable to absorb any nutrients etc from food. which is turn is probably stopping me from gaining any weight that i might have been trying to put on (great, cos not being able to gain is just what i need)
Anyway, they are sending me to another specialist aswell as testing for more malabsorption diseases such as celiacs and stuff.... just to rule out everything. And ive been told i need to get on the calorie supplement shakes, complan, fortisip, whatever.... cos i need to get something on me and soon.... so i guess thats me told.
So there you go. im still alive!!!! (yay) but a little scared about having to force feed myself ALOT in order to bulk up... if my body is finding it hard to put weight on anyway, i guess im gonna need alot more than i was thinking id need to gain :-(
man this is gonna be hard.... and i thought i could do it nice and gently. BOO
It looks like time is not something i have the liberty of taking. (not that im gonna DIE or anything, dont worry!!! but the sooner i get this fixed the sooner my body will stop breaking down on me!)
Aside from all this fun injectiony-illness talk, cos im sure its just fascinating to read about!

I was still in bed!!
but i dragged myself up cos i knew mum had taken the dog out, and i was glad i did... what a sweet pressie and so BEEYOOTIFULLY wrapped!
so that was nice to come home to... Now me and mum are off into town to try and get her a new phone (im pushing for the iphone, but only cos i want to test it out before i upgrade myself!!!) everyone says it like the most practical gadget out there cos it has it all on one machine... i know i have my ipod with me all the time, so thats useful.. plus all the apps. but i dont knooow!
still, its pretty no?!
What gadget could you not live without??? we dont need tin-openers now that we have ring-pulls, we dont need maps now we have sat-navs.... what other life-saving things can you think of that have made our modern lives 'oh so' easy?!?!
