Well ive officially reached a quarter of a decade....
im on my way to oldness!
Yesterday was nice, its weird how bdays lose their sparkle abit when you get older. i mean dont get me wrong, i still LOVELOVELOVE bdays, but i find i get more excited about the buildup rather than the actual day!
is that strange? or does anyone else ever feel like that?!
Anyway, it kicked off quite lazily, as i refused to get out of my cosy bed till at least 9am, even thos mum and sis were waiting downstairs telling me to hurry my ass up!
err patience much?! who's bday was it?!?!?
when i did surface and headed downstairs (funny moment when they thort i was coming down and starting to sing, but then realised i was just blowdrying my hair-hahahahahaha!) there were balloooooons, streamers and lots of envelopes and pressies on the table! yipee.
so i got cracking on opening stuff and....
...look what i found..!
After this, mum had to chip off to a wedding (gee, thanks!) so me and the sis walked into town with our little poochy and hit the shops. it was CRAZY how many people stopped us in the street asking to stroke the dog, look at the dog, generally marvel at the dog...
its like she needs her own fanclub! fair enuf tho, she is a cutie :-p

taken in the park yest...
A lazy afternoon ensued and then it was time for dinner... eek. out to a restaurant id never been to before, so i couldnt let myself eat from a 'safe' menu. we checked it out online first tho and i thort it all sounded tasty, and it WAS! result!
I had spicy jumbo prawns for starters, those big juicy ones where u have to pull off the heads! and some ciabatta bread to mop up the sauce (so good) didnt take any pics tho, that would've looked abit weird!
For mains, me and sis both went for the baked whole seabream. it was HUGE. i didnt realise it'd be so big, but i jumped right in anyway (had to cut off the head and de-bone... what a mission!)
It was tasty, but i didnt like the fact that it was literally swimming in oil... the potatoes were super greasy and the fish was all oily which instantly made me feel abit anxious and i was tempted not to eat it all,
but i DID.
i just thought, i cant let everyone down.... especially on my bday. so i pushed ED thoughts away and finished. and im glad i did :-) EVEN managed to have an extra pudding snacky when i got home too! just to make sure i'd done my best.
So all in all, a successful meal. And to top it off, our waiter was CUUUUTE!!! he kept coming over and making funny little comments about it being my bday and stuff. i know, its his job to schmooze the customers, but still... i enjoyed the attention! just as we were finishing up, a hen party was coming in and he was saying he was in charge of their table and it was gonna be a long night... so we had a joke about it, and as we were leaving i went over to say goodbye to him and told him his target was to get one of the hen parties tiaras by the end of the night... he said he'd try and then i had to run off cos mum and sis were already out the door. i kindof wished i stayed and maybe got him to give me his number to let me know how he got on! :-p
bad of me, i know... but you're only young once!
And it was nice to see a glimmer of the old me coming back thru again too. i want to get back to that carefree flirty girl i was before all this.... i used to have fun! i can be that girl again, i know i can. this is a new beginning.... a new year a new me.
One thing this bday has taught me, is that ive got a chance to have a fresh start. Im sick of living half a life... when i look back at the time ive wasted on this stupid ED, it makes me so angry with myself. I need to get back out there and enjoy my life, because i deserve it.....
and - you're only young once!!!

You go girl!
