Ahh, the weekend. Sacred time of wonderment, where we get to sleep in and pootle about doing stuff that we dont really have to do but we just do cos its the weekend and we can... like meandering aimlessly round town looking round shops (river island, topshop, gap... check!) doing little errands that you "might as well" get done (re-heeling my boots - check!) and then obvs getting the essentials done (hairmask to make my hair soft and shiny - check! supermarket shop with vouchers to save me precious dollaaaah - checkity check!)

All in All...

a good way to spend a saturday! 

And it was sooooo nice to lie in this morning. Im still waking up alot earlier than i used to on the weekends, but its actually better - cos then i can lie in for a bit and get up before its super late and i feel bad for wasting my day off. Plus its harder to get up when you lay in bed TOO long... it makes you feel all lethargic and woozy. So this morning i woke up at the usual 6:30am-ish and just dozed for an hour or so before i boshed a happy birthday text to the roomie, who is staying with her parents this weekend.... aswell as another one to my lovely preggo frenchie, who ALSO celebrates her bday today. Aaand its gonna be an extra special day for her, cos since she was due to give birth a week ago, but hasnt! she is being induced tonight - eeeek!!! watch out world - the baby is coming!! What a fab bday present tho hey? It certainly makes for a different way to spend your birthday night... kinda takes a whole new meaning to "going all OUT" or "painting the town red".... Hahaha, sorry. i know im gross. but its a BABY!!!! and im excited :p

And its gonna get even more exciting, cos we finally booked our flights out to see her this Easter! Me, the roomie and her gf (yes, they are fully back together now... and yes she is coming too. Hmm) So we are flying out a week on friday for 5days, which will include my Bday!! I break up from school this coming friday - woopwoop!!! But the roomie works in a state school, so she has an extra week to get thru. HA! Ahh, the (small) advantages of working in a private school :p I cant wait to get out of this town, it'll be so nice to see her and have a change of scenery and to do something fun and happy. Plus since im sure our friend will be exhausted, we can all take turns to do nappy duty etc... WHAT fun!

Okaay and back to today (yup-typical sidetracking from moi) So I was originally gonna meet up with this girl i am planning to go travelling with this afternoon, but she had to postpone till tomo due to car troubles... I didnt mind, cos it actually worked out better for me! i wasnt sure id fit everything in and i didnt want to be rushing about getting all anxious, so instead of being panicky about time... i got to lazily get up, get dressed and get fed, before i moseyed into town to do my thang (see above erranding!) and now im back home, chilling in my room with my laptop :) happy times...

I just had a chat with my dad too, which was soooo nice. I havent heard from him in a while cos he's been on holiday to Chile for 3weeks and only got back this week. It was cool to hear about his trip but my GOD it just made me want september to come sooner, so that i too could be travelling around in a hot country! Away from all this rain and dullness, away from the pressures of work and my family and nasty ED stuff.... Man, it cannot come soon enough! However our chat was cut short, cos the rugby was on. So we only had a brief window of catch-up time before he had to get back to the "big game". Sooo typical! its all good tho, cos we are gonna meet up for lunch the week after i break up so that we can have a proper catch-up and he can show me all the pics etc. Oh aswell as talking BIRTHDAYS!!! Ohhh yes. mine is coming up pretty soon!!! April 3rd to be exact and i dunno if ive mentioned it before.... but i am a MAHOOSIVE birthday person... i absolutely love them! and not just mine either, but anyones! im always up for a birthday celebration :p

But obviously mine is the big shebang. Its only fair to love your OWN the most, right?! (altho saying that - last years was abit of a bust... but will i let that spoil my excitement?! heck no!) So im gonna try and plan a dinner or something with the fam and then another thing with friends when i get back from France. We always TRY and do the family thing, but it doesnt always work out.... im gonna put it out there as usual - but since my mum and dad arent on the best of terms at the mo and my sister, well... she hasnt been in touch in a pleasant way in ages. She never replied to my birthday card and text that i sent her last month and the only time ive heard from her since, was a text to say that she didnt want me going upto the flat for mothers day last week, cos she was away and she didnt want me going near her stuff. Lovely!!! Somehow i dont think ill be expecting much from her this year.... not that i really ever do :( but her presence at my family birthday dinner would be a small thing to ask i think. Hmm. we'll have to wait and see...

And now on to tonight! i plan to relax, put on a dvd and enjoy the empty house :) im gonna watch all my cheesy tv and not have anyone complaining or wanting to change the channel (not that they do that much anyways) because Chill-time is ON!
