not long now!

YAAAYAYYAYYYAAAAAYYAYYA!!!

im pretty excited about the fact that i leave for america in less than 2days!!!! i bought an american adaptor plug today and was grinning as i left boots :-) i bet people were looking at me thinking WHAT a weirdo! i mean, generally who gets ecstatic about leaving a pharmacy...?! Unless of course, they thought i was just really really pleased that they still had hemorrhoid cream in stock :-p

So yea, im excited. like ALOT. but i still have a whole load of stuff to do before i get to jet off on monday. PLUS its my girl laura's bday today! so ill be sending her lots of happy 21st bday vibes (along with a couple of those essential "please-dont-drink-so-much-that-you-pass-out-and-wake-up-as-an-extra-in "the hangover"... 21st's are always a blast, but not when you spend the first day of the new adult you either in jail/a vegas wedding chapel/britney spears' undercrackers.... Nuff said!

In fact if i look back to my 21st, i went on a roadtrip to Brighton with a group of friends, got very drunk... moonied on the beach (it was a chilly April night, my tushy didnt thank me!) and then had to cram everyone in my car to try and sleep cos we couldn't get a room in a hotel. Ahh good times, good times... maybe im getting old, but im NOT feeling the need to recreate that again!

As for an update on the boy-who-got-away, MEH. its so confusing! we hung out the other evening and had a really nice time. chilled, easy... we get on dammit! but i still cant figure if he feels any different towards me or if he still see's us as just good friends. so im gonna let it lie... I dont even know what i would want anyways. So im not gonna think about it too much. i just wanna enjoy having the company of someone who i quite like! thats easy enough to get my (wonky) head around! we have already planned to re-create a night out that we had back in the day (it was kindooooof a date at the time but yeah, naturally i didnt realise did i!) So that involved a trip to a gallery, dinner at an italian and a night of us chatting and being silly on our own in a practically empty bar! its safe to say, im looking forwards to making a re-run. What?! it was a fun night. can you blame me!!! But we'll see.....

Speaking of boys, i also got an email from the ex-boy, and it was a GOOD email... but things are still abit weirdy there. He said he still has feelings and therefore finds it hard to try and be just "friends". BUT good progress has been made from the last chat we had, where he said he couldn't really face any proper contact cos it was too hard for him. Well, he now wants to try and hang out sometime when im back!!! yay!!! (i think he just wants a chance for me to give him his american pressie!!!)

So, another fun-filled week so far. OOH and i helped the mumatron at portobello market in london yest. OH so fun! (altho i didnt much love the getting up at 4 am thing.. i slept in the van on the way up, im a classy girl!) but i did scout out some goodies to put in mum's shop. Im trying to help out with the "youth" end of it. hehe. buying some "young vintage" pieces that teenagers will like to wear. its good fun! (career change perhaps?!?!?) AHH, i dont think i could abandon my schoolteachery ways (nobody to boss about and listen to my every word?! say WHAT?!) And anyways, fashion is so fickle and id have to fight for any place in the shop against my sis, which isnt a battle i want to engage in any time soon!

Now its the weekend and im chilling out, enjoying the last few days of UK-time before i leave... Tomo me and the mumatron are thinking of heading to the beach near us to get a makeshift takeaway fish lunch and hanging out at our little beach hut... (we live near the sea and the fresh crabs/prawns etc are AMAZING!) Lets just hope the weather is good, cos its been abit blah today. Super humid, but cloudy as hell. you win some you lose some eh!
