But i will be soon!!!
Im getting really into this making food malarky! who knew....
Soooo, i promised a fill-in about my nutritionist appt yest. I will start at the beginning (cos where better place to start?!) i was all positive heading into the appt, i forgot what a tough cookie she was, i mean i only met her once and that was about 3weeks ago!
Anyway, i wont bore you with every little detail, but basically... she was none too please with my "progress".... which is fair enough, cos its been pretty non-existant! ive gained abit, lost abit, maintained abit. but as she very bluntly said, i am exactly the same weight as when she saw me last. ah. yes, about that....
NOPE
no excuses here!
Ahh, i learnt pretty fast! she doesnt take any crap. and my (obviously pathetic) attempts to follow her first MP did not meet with much sympathy! ive gotta come out and say it....
i freakin LOVE this woman!!!
She really doesnt take any sh*t and that is exactly what i have been needing. obviously the first time i saw her, i told her what she wanted to hear (all with good intentions, dont get me wrong!) but lets face it, dont we all do that sometimes?!?
This time i didnt have that luxury... she didnt want excuses as to why i hadnt gained properly, she wanted to give me a new MP and get me moving. i told her about the IP thing and how i wanted to start fresh now that i have more free-time (she actually "pffffd" at that! toooo funny. i think that was another excuse to her. but she'll see.... ooooh, ill show her!)
So yeah, im all fired up. There is nooooo way im showing up to our next appt without some positive news. i'd be too scared!!! who knows what she's capable of when she's pissed!! :-p
*now i have to just stress* this woman is no monster! she is actually very nice. but she is 'one of those women'.... y'know, the ones that you're secretly a liiittle bit scared of! but you know they totally have your best interests at heart. I can see her being a huge help to me and for that, im mightily pleased :-)
So my MP now looks alot like this:
breakfast: big bowl of cereal (as opposed to the paltry little 2tbsp excuse that i was having) She wanted me to have toast too, but i said i found it easier just to eat ALOT of one thing, rather than finish one thing, then have another..... so the BIG-BOY-BOWL it is! Along with some fruity goods, i roll with plums/bloobs. yumbo scrumbo.
snack (am): cereal bar (or equivalent)
This is something im finding hard as i tend not to be hungry mid morning, especially now im having such a big brekkie. Plus, by the time i fall out of my bed, its late and breakfast is almost in the time that my snack shud be... (any suggestions on this??)
luncho muncho: Sandwich (or equivalent) with 2pieces bread, margarine (yeeeeks) and protein filling. Plus fruit.
This is where ive had some fun today. usually ive been too scared to make my own lunches, mainly cos i think i get freaked out by the choice and what to put into a sammie. plus i dont like thinking too much about what is going in, cos i start analysing, calorie counting and therefore substituting things... if i buy a shop made one, its all done for me. i dont have to think. So this is something i wanted to tackle... and i did today, even with limited items in the frigo. roll on tomorrow!
snack (pm): My usual pm snack was soft cheese on crackers, which she's let me keep (thankyoooou!) but she wants me to bulk it up where i can and if i want to change, DO IT!
dindins: Same as before, good source of protein, carb and veg/salad.
My main probs in the evening is not wanting to eat heavy carbs, but i need to shift that mentality. most people have carbs with every meal, its just cos im scared of them that it becomes an issue.....
puddin: Fruit and yoghurt (gonna try me some of those yoghurt messes all you lovely bloggers rave about!)
bedtime snack: Bowl of cereal (as before)
What do you think???? any suggestions/improvements?? i value each and every persons opinion, so gimme your thoughts!
Ive done ok so far, altho im having trouble with the fullness, it makes me not want to eat the next snack and its so frustrating to keep up when im so used to skipping. but i will get thru that, my hunger needs to be re-awoken... like the sleepy bear it is :-p
Hope you're all having a fantastical tuesday. (for a minute there i wrote monday!) see how quick it is for sensible responsible teachers to lose track of all time and reality and become holiday junkies!!!
ahhh, if only holidays lasted forever.......
:-)

That meal plan sounds a lot like mine did (although i never really had a proper one). Suggestions could be to make sure it's not a 'light' yogurt for your pudding and that you are not using skimmed milk on your cereal.
ReplyDeleteAlso bananas are good for the fruit option.
I found it hard when I wasn't doing much in a day to eat - but then i would just buy a fashion magazine and think of all the beautiful clothes that would look good on me only when I was back to my normal weight. Or that might just be an excuse to buy a magazine!
Plus, once I started to eat more - I started becoming very hungry in the morning (increased matabolism), so that made me get up earlier. You may start to experience that too - meaning more time to eat!
