an english girl in america part 1

Ahh i cannot even begin to say how much i am loving being here in America... its like a dream of mine, since i was a little kid, ive wanted to live here and be a "real american" :-p

Well by staying with my girl carly, it feels pretty much as close as it could to living that dream! Eeeeee!! :-)

Its such a different feeling, being on holiday somewhere that is so close to the culture we have at home, but yet so different. Its like my surroundings are different, but somehow the same?!

Like, i recognise stuff... but stuff that ive never seen r tried or experienced yet! Oh its all very weird, but i really like it!! It doesnt feel real! All the stuff i imagined from growing up with American culture on tv and films and in books/magazines etc is ACTUALLY here! and it goes without saying, i LOVES it :-)

I have more or less got my body onto US time now, altho the first night was killer... i made myself stay up till a reasonable hour, but i was shattered cos i hadnt slep much the night before and then i didnt sleep very well that first night cos my poor little english body is not used to the humid temperatures they have here! It was rough, but by the first day i was so pumped to be IN AMERICA that it didnt really matter! i was up with the dawn, ready to experience life as an amurrrcan girl, hehe.

if i had some of these... id be wearing them right now :-)

So I have tried to take some pics, but to be honest... there's so much going on, i dont wanna be stop start, stop starting all the time so im preferring to just soak it all up and enjoy the experience first hand, rather than pointing my camera at every opportunity!

I will fill you in with a bit more detail when i dig out my camera lead from my now totally ramshackle mess of a suitcase and finally upload some pics to show you what ive been getting up to. So much to tell! and its only day 3!!!! Anyways, i'll leave you in suspense :-) and in the meantime, ill get onto hunting out some of these badboys...!!
